Everything undercoated for the Workhall 2 table. Working on the rail points and rolling stock

Brick effect added to the main hall at lunch.

Took about an hour. Template to cut the paper, glue, position and leave to set

I like the idea of the brick cladding. Is that standard railway modelling cardboard sheet?

Hi, no it is textured wall paper with a brick  print.

Colonel Kilgore

I like the industrial way in which you're addressing these industrial buildings, Si!

Quick piece added before heading off to rugby

And what the brick sheets look like.

Colonel Kilgore

Very effective brickwork, and very neat workmanship!

This looks great. Okay so your using textured wall paper...did you put it through your printer?

Sadly not my idea. I get them off Etsy scaled at 1/87

Most of the brick added to the exterior surfaces. Haven't decided if I will do the interiors as well or just paint them with a stone grey/cement colour.

Trying out some filler on the exterior

This week we move onto domestic buildings and apartment blocks.

Template done, need six of these. Pain in the proverbial to cut out and I need to work out if I want to be able to place figure bases on the upper levels

Oh course if you had a laser cutter this task would be easy :)

Sorry to be Mr ask loadsa questions but I am being inspired by this thread. I did try building Pavlov's house which of course is an apartment block but abandoned it. I just didn't get the windows in the correct proportion. And there are a lot of windows..

With the Esty Brick card did you buy the download and print it yourself? There seems to be lots of sellers here.

Of course should you send me the above file (dxf) I'd be happy to laser cut it out for you....2mm MDF? Which I've got lots of.

After trying to cut that out earlier today I could be sorely tempted to take you up in the offer.

And as I now have a laser cutter :)

Cut to about 1mm depth at 50% power and then cut out with a scalpel. Took about 20 mins including the laser bit so I should be able to quickly cut the 11 panels I need this week/weekend.

Seriously in need of a new respirator.
