I don't see a lot wrong with them as they are - what am I missing?

When making a game this grand Si you need to include an error.
That allows "bods" to point it out to you.
They are then happy and the rest of the game is allowed to proceed.
Beach head show February 2023?

So a bit of trial and error. V3 on the left, V2 on the right which had wood detail that was wasted compared to the originals.  Still 12mm track width but apparently Russian main line track was equivalent to about 15mm. Not going to change as the new lengths will be theatre generic.

Colonel Kilgore

I like the thinner sleepers  ;)

Looking good to me.

The larger work hall will have drop in modules to allow for different configurations.

About 42" in length and 13" deep. I hadn't thought it through when I started.

Colonel Kilgore

That's going to be big.....

BTW, your workbench (dining room table?) is way too clean and tidy. Could you please add a few more flicks of paint and knife score marks before sharing any more such photos?  ;)

It is the dining table. The upstairs workbench is full so I have had to move downstairs. And the one in the games room keeps getting used for 40K by the kids

Colonel Kilgore

Ah - that's much better, thanks  ;D

Made 6 modules today and just placed them inside the components made this morning (waiting in more foam to finish the 3 new sections) and placed on a 4' wide board to get a better impression. At least another 6 drop in modules to be made up and then it all needs to get (re)painted with plastic primer once the windows have all been added.

Waiting for APC to deliver more foam and glue ;)

So using offcuts where possible to make the odd piece and some use of Lego to keep things vertical

Traffic

So the nice delivery person dropped off 10 more sheets of 2mm foam.

Quick assembly session after work. Just three more modules to do. Which may or may not get done tonight

Colonel Kilgore

Impressive stuff - this is scenery at scale!

Managed to get it all undercoated this morning with plastic primer. I have re-coated the first couple of sections to make sure I have a consistent base colour
