My self-imposed Vapnartak deadline appears to be working. Two more regiments of foot completed. Just two more to go!

First up some lowland Covenanters: Sir William Douglas of Kilhead's regiment http://www.keepyourpowderdry.co.uk/2019/01/william-douglas-of-kilheads-regiment-of.html

Next up Rupert's blewcoats (More pics http://www.keepyourpowderdry.co.uk/2019/01/prince-ruperts-own-blewcoats.html

Also updated picture of lots of other foot regiments (and added potted histories)

Thanks, to be honest I don't think big pictures do them any justice. They are much more acceptable in real life (and in 15mm) where you can't actually see how shonky my painting actually is.

Martin Smith

Look very good to me! Nice one.

Are they on 40mm x 20mm 'DBR' style bases...and if so, where did you get the sabot bases they're attached to? (or did you make them yourself?).

Thanks for posting.

Hi Martin, thanks.
They aren't based for any rule system, they are based for me (as I provide all sides there isn't a problem).

I wanted my regiments to look like Streeter's Plan of Naseby. Four figures on 40mm X 15mm, halberdiers get a base to themselves, and there is  a blank base to fill in the extra space. Sabots from Warbases.

Martin Smith

Thanks Radar

I assume the sabots from  Warbases were a 'special order', or did they have stock of items which fitted the bill without having to go down that route?

Martin S

Radar

They are stock 120mm x 60mm with 2mm top layer.

I like the look of those sabot bases. A 12cm frontage would fit very neatly into a 15cm square. I have had numerous good things from Warbases so may well use those sabot as well.

Westie

Terrific looking units, Radar!  8)

Warbases did some customised bases for me recently and I am really pleased with the results.

Radar

Many thanks Westie. To be brutally honest it's just careful colouring in, Martin's sculpting and a wash does the rest.

Really like Warbases, particularly pleased with the custom casualty markers they made for me.

Leman (Andy)

What do your casualty markers look like, and what size are they?

Radar

They are Warbases custom casualty dials, with chapbook italic font. 40mm diameter. Different slogan for each faction. here are the Parliamentarian ones....

You can see all of them here:http://www.keepyourpowderdry.co.uk/2018/11/casualty-markers-take-3.html
