Just completed some catus bases for the up coming western set. 2 x field guns and 2 x a/t guns for SCW. So nothing left to paint. Expecting lots of western stuff when I get back from Historicon.

Duncan

Also looking to Western theme. Have just ordered a load of Native Americans and cavalry/army figures. Will probably get some townsfolk as I like the whole maki g town village scenes just from modelling.

As well as that of course I am painting the 1/32nd Zulus and British for our Zulus war game. Making 1/32nd scenery as well.

Also got a bit of post apocalyptic stuff, bikers, townsfolk, agents, APCS, swamp boats etc. Not for any particular ruleset but just because they look cool!

Leman (Andy)

Doing a massive re-base of my FPW collection, which I would like to give a Square Bashing outing when I can sort out an adaptation. Also sprucing up my PP ACW markers for CWB at the club.

Am touching up my Mexicans at this moment(ouch!). I can't see to paint, but will be doing a light undercoat and then an ink wash with burnt sienna. That should do?

Don't forget the big moustache they were all issued with

Cleaning up an eclectic mix of mounted cowboys while I waited for my order of Mexicans to arrive (already waiting for me when I got  home tonight, the PP pixies having processed, picked, packed and posted the entire order in less than 24 hours last week - excellent service as ever).

This was actually quite an enjoyable task as they were so easy to clean, reminding me (my first PP purchases were from the Western range, which then got me into a number of others) quite what a diverse and characterful this range is.

And, while I'm waxing lyrical, the horses look great. To be honest, I didn't like the look of them on the website, but "in the lead" they are nicely-sculpted and suitably lean: quite unlike the Essex 15mm "light" [sic] horses I have spent many a sad hour scraping reams of metal from, or - worse - the Irregular equivalents that had so much hard-to-remove flash on that they got themselves sold before ever venturing near a paintbrush. Martin does spoil us!

Dannoc

Back on the AWI french by Pp. Just finished one regiment and on the next.

Leman (Andy)

As my FPW rebase nears completion I have now started to paint up some additional units.

Sean Clark

I have probably missed this but have you gone 10mm with your FPW?

Leman (Andy)

Yes, I went 10mm twice, i.e. I started back about 1992 with Wargames South, and then added some of the early Pendraken and Chariot, then about 98 I sold the lot and went 15mm. However, when Pendraken brought out their remodelled FPW I went back to the 10mm and sold the 15s. I have very recently added some Wargames South figures, which have just been re-released by Red Eagle Miniatures, for old times sake, and because I rather regretted selling those particular figures in the first place. I do quite a lot of 10mm gaming these days, reserving 15mm for Hellenistic warfare, The Wars of the Roses, the ECW, the ACW and Belgium 1914.

Leslie BT

PP SCW ready for the completion of the rules.
Vietnam firebase stuff and ambush markers.
25mm resin buildings for a display of the localish club, LES GUERRIERS DU MARAIS (THE WARRIORS OF THE MARAIS) at the end of September, it will be a Saga game on a "viking" stand at the Normandy Festival in Carentan.
French invasion of Morocco in 1830. 54mm skirmish game for warfare in November.

Duncan

Western buildings and scenery as well as towns people.
Zulus are all done along with civilian farmers in 54mm. Now looking at some Boers in 54mm and more British. As well as this I have some Orcs in 54mm just because they looked cool.
I also have on the back burner some 15mm sci-fi, WW1, and tiny scale spaceships, these are all done just as and  when I feel like a break from my current project.
Another big one at the moment is my OO gauge model railway.
