Colonel Kilgore

Varnishing my VC force while listening to Martin's dulcet tones in the new SCW videos.

What more could one ask for of an evening?

Sean Clark

Yes I consumed the videos whilst eating dinner yesterday.

I've often thought about doing a video play through to demonstrate some of the older rules sets like CWB or Bloody Barons.

Leslie BT

Did any of you spot the armoured trucks in the videos?

Gangleader147

Restarting all my piggy armies for most systems!

Sean Clark

No pictures but I have now nearly finished my paddy fields for Vietnam. Just the vanishing to do. Also requiring varnish are my NVA which are done.

I am awaiting a largish order from S&A scenic for my little bit of Spain but I am doing the dead ground pieces myself. I also have load of Spanish buildings to paint.

I'm happy to see that Hovels at still in operation and I shall be buying their factory pieces to use as my special terrain for my Anarchist Militia. I want to put my Spanish church on some elevated ground with a path leading up to it.

Basing still needs doing on my Anarchists.

A bit of work still to do to finish my ACW for the CWB day too. Busy busy busy!

John in York

Currently painting the extra bits and bobs needed for our participation game at Vappa. Just finished an Italian flamethrower tankette.
Of course I've got my eye on the new armoured lorries and I'll want to buy lots when the new rules arrive.

I've worked on sorting out my gaming room. I need a new table but lack the ability to build one. It's amazing how much crap that I allow to accumulate in my room to the point where I have a roughly 6" square to work in on a 6'x4' table.

All sorted now though and using some trestle tables for the moment.

Wardy64

Go to Ikea, they do like a street party table about 6x3 ish I have 4 of them for gaming - they are really good quality for price.

Sean.

What do you want for your gaming table?
Size?
Storage under?
Shelves under?
Closed storage space?
Leg room?
In the middle of the space or against the wall?
Do you want to be able to keep games setup on it?

Sean Clark

Les

I want a 6x4 table, with a short end against a wall. Storage underneath would be nice but not essential. The table will stay up but I'd prefer to be able to take it down if needed. Leg room essential as I like to sit down whilst playing.

Leslie BT

Fixing it to the wall is cheap and simple, a sheet 18mm chipboard would make a table top, and the other end could be supported on a cupboard or shelf unit.

martin goddard

i also like to sit down whilst playing. Not averse to standing up now and again, but not for the whole game.

Leslie BT

You have to stand up to reach the other side of the table when you make the break through onto your opponent's base line.

Sean Clark

Can't say I've ever managed that Les 😂🤣😂🤣

Duncan

How about a hinge to the wall, then a hinged leg at the other end. That way if can be lifted up and stored up again at the wall if needed or left down if required. It simply!y needs a couple of catches to be able to hold the leg in place.
