Miles,
This year is our 10year but only our 9th weekend as we missed one because of the Chinese bug but we have lasted longer than a Prime minister

So I ve done 8 then.
By the way things are going we will probably have another 3 PM's if the now Government avoids an election before 2025 !
But that's enough said on that.
Must at WWW is now a regular event of our lives. Keep up the good work Stewart.

What a wonderful WWW 2022 weekend, that I very much enjoyed. I'll need to sit down and work out all the games I played over the 3 days, but all were good ones!

A big thanks to Stewart for organising us all, as well as to those who put on games and all who turned up to play them!

Some photos to follow...

Saturday afternoon saw me playing Hoplite Greeks (represented by Roman Legionaries) alongside Martin against Weymouth Mike's Normans, with Mike aided and abetted by Derek.

This was followed by the same Greeks (who had swapped out some skirmishers for a couple of bolt throwers) facing a very "defensively aggressive" force of Carthaginians.

(to annoy Derek - sometimes the dice gods desert you...):

Great weekend, good people, good fun, good food and good gaming. what more could anyone want. Won some and lost some. learned loads into the bargain. Maybe I will even remember some of that....doubt it though!

Special thanks to Stewart for putting it on but even more importantly a huge thanks to the staff at the George who made us so welcome and worked hard to keep up with us.

Role on next years

I echo Simons comments, a great weekend of gaming with a rare bunch of people.

I played/ran
4 x Pirates sea games
1 x PITS game
7 Pirate land raid games
1 x Western game

Mat took photos of most of the games and are on the 'Peter Pig players group on' Face book

Thanks to all you came and played

Next year has been booked 24-26th November 2023

Some more great games on Saturday evening. Under Chris's tutelage, I had my first game of Washington's Army (AWI).

Meanwhile Sean put on a great-looking Vietnam game:

While Miles ran his Western table:

Big Mike

A big thank you to Stewart for putting in so much time in ensuring the WWW was the success it was.
Also to Martin for printing all the battle/playsheets, Kate and her family at the George, and all the gamers who played in such a good spirit. In fact quite a lot of spirit....
The weekend demonstrated the best in our hobby and long may it continue.

Hear hear.

An excellent weekend in great company. Great to meet Matt amd Weymouth Mike for the first time and get to play games with them.

I played 7 games, 5 of which I hadn't  played for some time  but it reminded me how good they all were. 8 would have loved to play more, but 7 games is probably the equivalent of 3 months worth of gaming at my current rate. No wonder i had a bad head on Saturday night!

The only disappointment is that I forgot to taoe the last of the Calva that Big Mike had giftwd to me. Several of us enjoyed a sip on Friday night though, and it was delicious!

Well done all for making another memorable weekend and roll on next year.

I can only reiterate what has been set out above. Thanks to Stewart for organising the weekend, Martin for supplying the extra game sheets, to the individual game organisers and players for good fun games.

Well thank you Stewart and please thank the hotel and all involved there from all of us.
Another successful year of a good weekend of games  for us all. I won some, drew some and lost some so overall quite pleased.
Nice to get some of my freshly painted ACW ships out as well on Friday. Still have a few to finish off ! Just a few ?
Nice to play PiTS, really nice to play RoF and Westerns again.
Shame I couldn't play on the CWB game, but to get a couple rounds of the up and coming CK was an important sacrifice to do as it is good to learn a new period of history for me and style of game.
Same as Regiments of Foote had before this it had taught myself there is gaming period's before 19th Century that need to be learned and "gamed" ! Bloody Barons had done that a bit before, but CK does cover a very wide and varied period, that it does need to be researched a bit.
But getting away from the main thing.
Thank you All for putting on the weekend and coming and and playing the Weekend and making it an enjoyable and worthwhile event and Weekend for All of US ! Roll on weekend 11 ? Next year.
