Hi Julian,
Just in case you don't know, decals work better if you gloss varnish the area where you're  going to apply the decal first. After the decal has set varnish over it to protect and seal it.

I hope the above is of use to you.

Best wishes,
Martin Buck

Good question.

I left it a bit free amd easy early on but had better form it all up so that we aren't playing on bare tables.

As it stands we need 5 tables. I would anticipate at most we'll need 7, and that's if we can find at least 3 more players.

I'll create a seperate post I think for this and see how we get on.

Sean,
The airfield scenery is coming together and I will provide a more detailed note on this.
However, I will be happy for my opponent to provide their 7 scenery pieces in addition.
I am being tutored in the art of AK 47 tomorrow by Miles.

Good luck tomorrow Mike. I hear that Miles is somewhat of an expert now having played 2 games at the weekend 😅🤣

I'll look forward to seeing your airfield.

Hope you have a fun day. Reminder for those intending to take photos: At the time note who's playing who, what armies they are fielding, who made the terrain, (if in shot) the vehicle/figures on show and their manufacturer etc. You can never note too much and it's a lot easier to discard surplus than try to find out stuff later. I know from my Brixcon experience!

Prepping a People's Popular Front army I've had sitting around for a few years.

This will be a speed paint to see how quickly I can get an army done.

Leaving it late Sean.

Half base dead markers, thats controversial :)

Julian

I can only imagine that Sean will be playing a slightly different version of the rules from the rest of us :)

I have found that a single body placed diagonally across a full base looks OK, and is clearly not a fighting base.

Just recovering from my first ever game. Miles has been generous with his tutoring and his bullets!
I have plenty of questions for the Forum but will wait until daylight to send a post. Where's that bottle of Calva?

It's late for my trip down south to visit Martin on  Friday, but not for October. I can paint an army in a couple of days!

Plus I have enough for probably 3 armies already done, so loads of choice if I have to play. These figures have been lying around for years and I wanted to try out some other painting techniques. Plus I have a Dictator army to do as well which between them guives me another 9 Toyotas. You can never have enough technicals!

Colonel Kilgore

That sounds like a useful characteristic of your army, Julian - I'd not previously spotted that one.

As long as you roll well on your shooting dice :)

If you roll a 1, do you count 1 + 2 =3 bases shooting, or minimum 2 shooting bases + 2 = 4 bases shooting...?

My suggestion is that it should be the former, but just interested  ;)

Simon

The minimum of 2 is after all modifiers are applied.

martin :)

Colonel Kilgore

You are very righteous, Julian  :D

Thanks for this confirmation, Martin.

Couple of questions:

Anyone using Cavalry in their force; and is there an official 'War Correspondent', to record the days events?

Howard

Moggy

Hi Howard

Not planning on using them yet but the Force list seems to change every time Julian elicidates on the rules!
