Hi,
Any news on the release date for the new BB rules? I appreciate that current events could be having an impact but anything you can tell me would be great.

Martin had told me that all things being equal they would arrive today.... all things working out.  However that was a day or so before the PM did his freeze in place notice over there. So I guess, who knows..

Being  round the corner I am a bit spoilt, Martin walked my copy to me whilst on his exercise today.
Very clear text with lots of pictures to explain the rules.
There are sample armies and ideas for a smaller game.
Excellent

I hope Martin stood 2 meters away from you and threw it! I gather he is posting the rules out as soon as he is able.

Yes indeed, we had my bin between us to pass the goodies over and I  had a bottle of hand sanitizer

Are we able to order the new rules. Just been to the website and not showing as available.

Cheers

And we probably need Uncle Nigel to re-work the army boxed sets of figures to match too? An activity that can be done at a safe social distance?

Leman (Andy)

Well, been sitting on the vouchers my brother bought me for Christmas so still itching to use them.

And will it be available in PDF ?

I like a physical copy but read much more in PDF these days.

Colonel Kilgore

Having received a copy of the new rules this morning (many thanks Martin!), I have to agree with Stewart - this is a lovely package.

Probably one of the simpler RFCM rulesets, the mechanisms are elegant and lead to a fun game with many different variations possible in the forces involved on either side.

The rules include a generous number of photos, which are a great help in bringing them to life (even in black and white, Dave's painting really brings out the detail of Martin's sculpting). There are no fewer than 17 historical scenarios included, as well as some useful historical notes on dress, colours, weapons and key historical figures.

Added to a pretty complete range of PP figures, what more could one ask for to dive into gaming this fascinating period of history?

Simon

Antioch (Bob)

Yes looking forward to a PDF...given the Royal mail not sending overseas now.

Sean Clark

Mine arrived today too.

Always a good day when a new set of rules land on the door step. As ever, a lovely product that a heck of a lot of work has gone into.

A most unsuprising A+ from me.

Noggin

But when are they on general release?

Leman (Andy)

Bit of a pain now listening to teacher's pets bragging about receiving their copies.

Regards, Mr Grumpy Old Bar Steward.

Colonel Kilgore

Sorry Andy - wasn't intended to be bragging, but rather encouragement to others to get themselves a copy. Which will obviously be easier when they're available to buy on the website  :-\
