Colonel Kilgore

Radar,

I take a similar approach to you in randomising colours and markings by horse pose.

There's a very practical guide to horse colours and markings in Henry Hyde's "The Wargaming Compendium".

Thanks for the info Colonel.

In other news the plumbing is all fixed and the shower works again (without washing the kitchen floor now). It was officially opened by #4 son who cut the official ribbon of loo paper.

Antioch (Bob)

Radar,

Somehow I think there should almost be a party.... all of those repairs during this, no doubt with parts acquired.

It has always felt when i have to do plumbing there are always at least two trips to the store for parts. So well done.

Thanks Antioch. Had about 6 trips out for plumbing supplies, so a pretty steep learning curve.

More Royalist horse, the Earl of Northampton's, usual potted history and more pictures at https://www.keepyourpowderdry.co.uk/2020/04/earl-of-northamptons-regiment-of-horse.html , plus if you are going a bit stir crazy there's two differing stories about what happened to the 2nd Earl's body after Hopton Heath.

These are very nice.
If I may say so, I think you are using an improved light source?
The colours are much clearer to me. :)

Thanks Martin.
Same light source, a couple of built in led strips on my Foldio folding studio.

Different location though, I've lost my desk to #4 son, so using the Foldio in my bedroom (handy for 2 usb sockets) so possibly more ambient lighting? That first picture has a bit too much light I think, looks a little washed out.

Having to paint on the kitchen table, which whilst it feels brighter, the light is awful to paint by.

Radar,

your collection must be a sight to behold. I'm eagerly awaiting seeing them all together in the cut and thrust of battle!

As the 375th anniversary of Naseby approaches, I'll see what I can do. (No promises though)
