Great stuff Simon. Well done for biting the bullet.

Now do I go Red or White?

Brian Cameron

I was just commenting re 15mm #4 about being tempted by an RCW army - you've just tempted me further.  October tends be a busy month for me with several model railways events I'm committed to (yes, two hobbies requiring lots of modelling and painting as if one wasn't enough  :) ) but I'd definiitely attend if there's no date clash.

Thanks,
Brian

Leman (Andy)

How time flies - just had a notification from Prime photos to view pictures I had taken on this day in the past, and lo and behold it was photos of my newly prepared Russian White Army for Square Bashing, taken in 2013. Still need to paint the machine guns and armoured cars!  :-[

Brian Cameron

The Early War Red army is now progressing but a question - in the events chart, a score of 10 provides the 'Black Train' and goes on to say "Add 7 to Barrage B'.  As I recall the old rules used barrages A to D but could someone clarify what this is intended to be under the current rules.
Thanks,
Brian

Good observation Brian.  A mistake.
Barrage B is the point effect barrage. An overlap from the first edition you are correct.

Colonel Kilgore

Sorry if I have missed it somewhere, but did we decide on a date for the RCW Day in the end?

Date is now set to be the 3rd Oct. I've updated the main announcement with the details and link to the tickets

martin goddard

I have bought my ticket.

2 questions
1. Has anyone used trains recently. If so are they fair and easy to use?

Simon
2. Is there a shortage of white or red players? I can swing both ways because I have not organised an army yet.

I shall make a special figure for the day too. Possibly a chap haranguing a crowd/troops.  Remember the chap in Zhivago who gets shot and falls into the barrel?  Riley, Lenin etc.

Yes - reasonably easy

nothing so far - so whatever you want !  early days

Sean Clark

Now we are confirmed, I need to decide which army. Let the research begin.

Of course, I also realise I'll be doing both sides. Great incentive to get a project done that I've been meaning to do for some time.

Colonel Kilgore

I hope to make it if I can persuade the Commander in Chief that I need to be away playing toy soldiers on two consecutive weekends.

If I can come, I'll bring a British interventionist force.

Sean Clark

Tell her it's for the motherland, and supporting the great experiment. Rise up and crush the oppressors.

Simon
Can we bring a snow cloth/terrain set up?
