I have not played Square Bashing in decades. I bought ver 2 when it came out but not yet played it. Next week I am playing a late war game and so started rereading the rules.

Last week I got my 20mm Britannia WW1 collection, which I painted some 30 year ago, and refurbished the figures on new bases.

I finished the first few units this morning.

Marvellous.
Do visit the PP Square bashing page for clarifications that might help.

Those figures are still looking very nice.

I have been busy revamping more figures for SB. Whilst I am plodding through my old 20mm figures I have taken a break to get a few 10mm Russian and Austrian Pendraken figures done as well.

I of course need extra figures for both the 20mm and 10mm armies to be able to field 620 point armies.

I perhaps should also declare I have small 28mm armies for both early and late war as well. I have added a  photo of a game I put on at Fiasco many years ago.

That is a great paint job Mark. Like the MG shield too.

Moved on from the Renaissance Poles to another stalled project of Yesteryore. A 3-cornered Napoleonic fight between Russians, Ottomans and Qajars over Georgia and the Caucasus. I converted some spare Renaissance Cossack infantry into Azerbaijanis by Milliputing shaggy Papakhas. I'm currently working on 3 Bttns of Minifigs Russian line... I Will be leaning on Irregular Minis for some Chechens, Ossetians, Dagestanis etc.

Even if there is nary a Piggy Man in sight, Martin?
Believe me I did scour the PP ranges for inspiration...

No problem at all. 15mm is the only criterion. I would welcome contributions from other manufacturers too.

Currently a mix of 18mm WoFun Dutch infantry for the WoSS and 1866 Austrian casualties for Walter Schnaffs.

I have four thinks on the go, two hardware and two software.

1. Painting two Peter Pig samurai forces - will use the Dragon Rampant rules.
I'm finding Samurai difficult to paint, the photographs on the PP website are very helpful.

2. Painting a hundred or so Pendraken figures to fill out a 16th century Kongo empire army.

3. Tweaking Nik Wright's Irregular Wars to accommodate Greeks, Macedonians, Carthaginians and Romans (Mainly Successor and Punic wars).

4. Dragging the Osprey Rebels and Patriots, kicking and screaming into a WW2 setting.

Leman (Andy)

Now moving forward with a revival of my 15mm metal Italian Wars. Decided to do a basing system to give a reduced 15mm footprint for Basic Impetus. A 60mm frontage will work for my 6x3 table. Bases can then also be used for other systems I may want to try.

To the best of my recollection they are a mix of Minifigs, AB/Battle Honours, Falcon, Essex and Irregular Miniatures...
I'll have to get a wriggle on and paint some up then! ;D
