This will be helpful.

I will assume that all games have Dervishes as the opposition.

2 games this month. Both Egyptians on mission 1.
First was comfortable Dervish win - Egyptians never made it to the end village for scouting. This was the game where I tried the MG unit unsuccessfully.
Second game , same but used 5 infantry units and no MG.
This time a good Egyptian win.

Is it me or does there seem to be a little bias against the Dervish winning a game? maybe victory points need looking at or Martin needs to no longer be allowed to field them.

You are right Derek.
However, we should wait to see how it goes over 20 games.
In the 3rd March game the British shot the Dervishes to bits, as the Dervishes closed in early on. This damage was  from just two British units.
Part of the reason is that the 3D6 system is quite erratic.

Let us play some more and then reflect.

Derek in the early days Dervish were winning a lot

New ideas, cards, changes to missions have balanced it out a bit more.

With the current Victory Points, if the Anglo/Egyptians don't complete the mission they will very likely lose

Yesterday mission 2 - heliograph.

Big Dervish win against British. Heliograph unit ruthlessly targeted by Dervishes and taken out early. Poor scouting rolls didn't help.
