I have painted up the tents and stores as a baggage area for various armies, from the Renaissance to 1914. Initially I have the ECW/TYW in mind.

Lovely work but not sure that the tents themselves go back in time as far as you say although as representative they're fine.

A fair amount of dry brushing and use of Contrast paints on the barrels, sacks, initial work on the tents and the mud. Tufts to give the groundwork a bit more uneveness. A final coat of Agrax Earthshade on the browns. Personally I think simple shelter tents have been around since Ancient times.
