I magine if you will

Attackers.  3 platoons of regular army, average with a pair of Ft17 tanks.
Defenders. 3 platoons of assault guards with a pair of field guns.
The Army took level 5 of the chase and the assault guard level 2. Appalling D6 rolls by Miles. He could not stop rolling 6s.
Mot of the buildings were central, but on the flank were some buildings, totally surrounded by open ground.
On the right flank Martin forced forward with a platoon against the bridge objective. After some pauses a nationalist army  assault went in against the bridge. Miles slaughtered it. Twice.
In the centre martin sent in a fine nationalist assault against the middle church objective. Took the objective with only the officer base remaining. Then Miles slaughtered them too.

On the left Fred had an impossible task of attacking across open ground against buildings and an objective. . He sent in his FT17 tanks with infantry support. They (Fred's nationalists) butchered the defenders of the flank village . then.....Fred;s FT17s assaulted the tower objective. 2D6 for Fred and 13D6 for Miles. Fred was the luckiest man around and slaughtered the objectives defenders with his two FT17 tanks.  Amazing.
Game ended in a draw because martin has lost 30 bases of foot and taken no objectives, but meant to. Fred took his left flank objective with little loss and also finished an assault guard  platoon off as they retired.
Overall a great battle plan by martin (as i am writing the battle report) Fred and Miles were just lucky (and successful)
If I had played this game again i would have rolled more 5,6s.

Observations. hammering was  very effective.
The artillery guns and FT17s were well worth the points.
Mies used hasty defences well.
Fred got limited HE on to the arriving targets.

Sounds like a great game.

Sounds also like Martin should gift Miles some new dice...

Did anyone take some photos?

Leslie BT

Great to hear that you had a great day out in bournemouth.

Does not sound like you found any glitches in the rules, just the dice!!

No one had Cavalry then to try them out.
