I am tinkering with the presentation of TCR.
The rules are nearing completion but still need a bit more testing.
I am considering trying out some AI to get illustrations based on the PP figures?

That would indeed be appropriately Sci-Fi, Martin.

Have you tinkered with AI to draft / review the rules themselves? Of course, if you once did so (unless you had your own personal secured environment), all of your content would be "out there"...

Sounds scary Simon.

I'll have a play with the new version... still wanting to have a game with Creepers.

martin goddard

Barry and Jon are using creepers.

A few thoughts about creepers and tactics.

If using creepers, try to get into any square containing opponent bases. The more bases the better. This is because a  pack of 3 creepers will get 4D6 against every base when responding. 4D6 is quite a threat to the opponent bases.
When creeper packs of 3 attack they get 6D6 which is very dangerous to the opponent.
If a creeper pack starts getting shot up just feed in more creepers to maintain the pressure.
Be prepared to let some creeper packs fall to a single creeper and keep them safely out of the way. This allows creepers to be put into fighting packs.
Losing 2 out of 7 packs is no great problem. 3 or 4 packs can still win the game if they keep on biting.

If defending with creepers, barricade two objectives with 8 blockers each. Then get on with defending the other 4.

Creepers might also consider using all of their blockers to split the table in half.
12 blockers could create two walls with the turrets and 2 objectives in between.
Any opponent bases entering this 6 square zone would have to zig zag to get out the other side and be attacked by resident creeper packs.
Put any creeper mines in this zone too. "No pasaran!" as the creepers would say.

Try to fill an objective zone with horror so that the objective is placed in horror.

Creepers could spend a lot of time in horror to avoid being shot at.
They only risk a 1 in 6 chance of receiving a hit.

Creepers are very different to use than other forces and that is intentional.

Good stuff, Martin.

I'm quite looking forward to painting up mine and getting them into action!

I believe they can be a real winner,BUT players should not use the normal force tactics.

Creepers can't have any turrets if defending, may be have 3 mines?

I did enjoy the game(s) back in September in Entoyment! Now I have quite a few figures from previous projects (never completed ?) that will make some different looking forces from what is out there already ? So with the additions of a few of PP figures to bolster up gaps in what I have !
I can't wait for the rules to be published, and hopefully by then my "Must Do" First pile has shrunk enough to get some painting done ?
As it is causing a pile up at the moment ? But at the moment that's life ?

Good point Stewart. I did it again.
Indeed Miles, players just need about 30 model figures to play the game. Many gamers have a stash of sci fi figs. I used to have a box of Table top sci fi figures.

Funny enough a lot of mine are Table Top Miniatures, with others I have acquired over the years ? Including a load from discarded collection thrown out in 2009 in several black bags ? This included a lot was Citadals 15mm Judge Dredd figures amongst others ? These were the source of my interest in the bags in the first place ? They were falling thru a hole in the bag ? So I had to investigate further !
So my savour now is a modern day use for this collection of figures !
