Back doing Stalingrad stuff

after a bit of hiatus after the turmoil of another person living in my house and work pressures back getting the Stalingrad stuff back underway.  A lot of it is still only about 75% completed and I haven't done any of the weathering/smoke staining and I still have some more buildings to work through.  I have only made up about a 10% of the rolling stock I wanted to do originally, this might be a case of more "reasonable" numbers to work through.

The Project Box came out of the garage to see what I could get done quickly to give myself an early boost

The failed prints from the crete bridge smashed up and added to some MDF off cuts and given a couple of different coats with rattle cans.

I have also found out that Halfords no longer do some of these paints, so once they are gone will have to find another solution

Enough quick progress made to give me kick up the .... to get more done.

Just thrown into the factory to get an idea of look

The first batch of rolling stock out of the box and need to get on with painting

The other box of offcuts and bits to add detrius

Rolling stock given a quick coat of paint. Nothing fancy and not a lot of care taken. Just enought for progress to be made

All great Si.
What is the eventual goal of the project?

Hi, the eventual goal is enough and varied terrain which is rule agnostic (and 15-20mm scale agnostic) to allow the representation of different areas of Stalingrad (or other major BUAs).  I like painting and modelling probably more than actual gaming at the moment so this satisfies that itch.  The initial aim was enough terrain for the Stalingrad campaign in the BG Stalingrad supplement, but now it has gone a bit wider and things like the Stalingrad Military Aviation School in Aviagorodok are on the horizon. You can only fight through a factory a couple of times before it becomes meh!

I know that feeling. I last playe3d in July, but been painting like a fiend since then and really enjoying it.
