Is SIOCAST dead within the wargames industry?
Does anyone now use it?
I thought it had potential, but wounded by too many monopoly drawbacks.
Is 3D printing killing it?

60K for a machine that keeps breaking down and has a less-than-stellar casting success rate.

Warlord Games still seem to use it

Interesting information Simon.  Thanks

Never heard of it until now.

Not surprised Andy. It wsa not widely known.

As an idea it was very good.
Injection moulding on a cheap basis.Rubber, easy to make moulds.
Out comes a  sprue with lots of figures on it.
Light and quick.

Downsides.
Material from monopoly source. Machinery and other extras from monopoly source. Flash propensity.

My thoughts re not based on actually using it I must admit.

Maybe it can come back, but with better material and machinery spread of sources??

Thanks for the info, Martin.

I am really interested in it as an observer. I would like to see it in action, but have not.
