I am available at the moment but it is FA cup final and the Royal wedding on the same day.
Has Pete confirmed when the shop, move is and the new address?

Smiley Miley 66

He has said it will move, and to Poole Quay but not w.hen as yet to me. But I will find out in the next week or so.

Just shows that information is power. I had no idea about those two events, they are outside of my  interest but very much items of national importance. I did chat with Miles and assured him that  29th was an excelent date (whoops).  The royal wedding might be an issue if players wanted to watch it or are wanted by partners to watch it.  Personally i am a republican who will not watch it but still wish them well. If the FA cup is the same day they will re-schedule the FA cup (i am prepared to take bets of £5  on that).

Martin,

The FA cup final / Royal Wedding are on 19th May. So I think the issue is the timing of the CWB day, rather than the PBI event with which everyone so far seems happy on 29th September?

Smiley Miley 66

Ok what about June ? Any ideas on June ? World cup starts 18th June ? But unlike the FA cup I know it's not essential to watch, as it's repeated over the day.
Yes Entoyment would have moved by then. Going from Parkstone in Poole to Poole Quay ? Will find out more information on that when I visit the shop next week.
So need your input guys please

At 5he moment the only weekend I am not available is the 23rd Jun

What if Harry gets the wedding and cup final moved so they don't clash
with a PBI day? May/June/July are not ideal for my household (Royalist football fans).

Yes - rather disappointing that the Palace didn't coordinate with Miles on this important point before going off and making the announcement.

Smiley Miley 66

Well PBI is sorted. 29 th September.
But it's now sorting out CWB. What month would be suitable ? April and October are out. May is looking busy. June maybe the 23rd ? July does have the Western day in the Calendar, so we would be getting our rules mixed up !!! September has PBI same reason, and June is Square Bashing ? So August and November ? As December is Xmas Month and we all know how busy that gets ? Family stuff !!!
So August and November (Early)

Smiley Miley 66

I did sort of forget Sq Bashing day on the 23rd June so. So August or Early November

Stewart 46A

Reading warfare is 17/18th Nov

Smiley Miley 66

Hence why I said Early November as in the first half of the month which usually means first or 2 nd weekend ? As Stewart pointed out Warfare is the Third weekend and Weymouth weekend is usually the forth weekend !! ????
I am trying to look for the best ideas !!! And best weekends ?
Unless nobody wants to do CWB ?

martin goddard

Any November weekend is good for me, except  the weymouth wargames weekend. Do any of the players involved or who want to play  (they are the only ones who matter to this discussion)in CWB go to Reading Warfare. I don't go n I thnk the other CWB players might not go either??

Smiley Miley 66

I must admit, because most of my shopping is on the internet nowadays, I won't be going to Warfare, or least unlikely. So if those that wanted to play CWB, particularly wanted to do Warfare weekend ? But it would then be probably the weekend before Weymouth weekend ! Unless the Players don't have a problem with that either ?
If Players are happy with that ? Then it's a date that could be put forward ? As CWB is usually a more "Local" event than PBI ( thinking mainly of Sean here, maybe Simon if he plays as well ?)

Colonel Kilgore

Miles - very kind of you to think of me, but I'll probably give CWB (at least for this year...) a miss, thanks. I'm already a bit stretched with the new PP periods I've slipped into (and I'm now going to try and do a 1943 army for your PBI day) so I will resist the temptation (for now, although I do rather like the figures...) of slipping into ACW too!

Also, Warfare's my local show so, despite PP not being there (boo!), I'll probably pop along to top up on supplies and see what's going on.

But thank you!

Simon
