Sorry chaps not going to be able to make it 5his year, work commitments and final work on our new fence have to take priority this weekend ready for new work week Monday.

That's not good, Chris and Sean not coming as well. Not good. Best of luck with your fence

No worries Miles

Enjoy tomorrow chaps. Sorry I can't be there. Still an outside chance of making WWW but don't put any money on it yet.

A fine day of ACW gaming.  Numbers were reduced. John got eaten by a dragon and Stewart was wing walking. Chris was canoeing. Not sure these are all true but they sound plausible.
As usual the atmosphere was great. Good company and good games. The quality of Entoyment also helped. They provided hot drinks, food and a nice venue.  If you were not there you know who you are.
I got taught a lot of new things about CWB.
Colin showed the most skill at D6 rolling.
Miles shot my Confederate brigades to bits whilst Colin delivered the shwere punkt.
Mike had a 3 general.
Rob was  rolling high all day.
Martin kept introducing rules that "must be there somewhere".

Really good gaming. With no grids :(
Wanted to see the new Stalingrad buildings by flames of war, but forget to look.
Colin took a bunch of photos.

Thanks to Miles for organising the event.

I popped in on my way home from work. The game being played looked good, great scenery (Miles?) with a lot of figures on the table, a lot going on and some toing and froing . Must admit from what I saw Rob was not throwing high unless for a moral role. I did admire the sight of Martin marching his raw infantry brigades out in the open  in front of Miles's veterans dug in around the farm objective - did it go well Martin?

This is a good set of rules and when discussing 15mm v 28mm serves to show 15mm at their best, lots of terrain and figures - looks like a battle rather then a skirmish.

Picked up my 15mm Edward  lV figure too which looks great so thanks Martin.

It did not go well Chris. Although a slow advance, across open ground against veterans, ensconced in  a building, would be a good chance to rout those yanks.  I was probably unlucky? Lost 2 brigades that way, but did kill a couple of yankee figures!

Will Edward IV be available to buy??

Smiley Miley 66

Quite an enjoyable day. But the numbers are getting less at the moment ?
Goes to show you can have fun on the large games ? My Irish Brigade held their ground as expected...
Roll on the next games day ?

martin goddard

Sorry Sean it was a one orff. However.......
