The venue filled with enthusiastic gamers.

Stewarts lovely D Day game.

Mike's Siege of Plymouth game

A great western game using Dead Mans Hand rules

Lovely Vietnam game in 28mm I think.

A game of Saga by the Weymouth Warlords

A lovely 10mm Peninsular War battle. The painting on the 10mm figures beats my 15mm hands down!

A 28mm ancients thrash using Art de la Guerre I think.

A skirmish game set in the Game of Thrones world.

A French Indian game

An Operation Barborossa game put on by the excellent Entoyment shop in Poole.

Another north American colonial set up with some lovely Indians.

A nice Dark ages game

Who doesn't like Samurai??

Fisticuffs was a great show, what you might call the beating heart of the hobby. Friendly faces, some lovely games and a great venue. I'll hopefully be back next year.

Sorry chaps, but I can't see these photos - does one have to have a Photobucket account to see them [I just get a little green icon in the corner of the image box...]

Sean Clark

A aarrrggghhhh. They are hosted in photobucket but I'm pretty sure you've seen other photos I've posted from there. Can you see the pictures of my game on the Friday night??

Sean, I think you're referring to the SCW battle posted here:

https://rulesforcommonman.uk/smf/index.php?topic=656.0

If so, I was previously able to see the photos (i.e. soon after you posted them) but now just get the same little icon as I do in the current thread.

Sorry!

Colonel Kilgore

I think this could be something to do with my browser (Chrome). If I try to access Photobucket directly with your jpg image link, I get a "too many redirects" error message.

However, if I paste the address directly into Internet Explorer, I can see your photos (nice, thanks!).

So, the problem may well lie my end, but others may be experiencing similar issues.

Administrator

While the redirect issue can be server side, its most likely client side (browser).

1. Try clearing your browsing history, cache and cookies.
2. Check your extensions by typing "chrome://extensions" into your address bar, make sure the extensions you have here are all recognized, if there's anything suspicious that you didn't install yourself, delete it.
3. Disable each of your extensions one by one while checking and refreshing your page, if the page starts working while a particular extension is disabled, that extension is faulty and you should delete it.

Colonel Kilgore

OK, so the error seems to be clearly my end: it works fine with Internet Explorer.

That said, clearing all my Chrome cookies, caches, history and extensions still hasn't fixed it, but at least  I know where the problem lies.

Many thanks for posting these great photos, Sean, and to Mr Administrator for the technical support.

Sean,

Thanks for posting all the photos, it really makes me sorry I couldn't make it.

And my Photobucket issues have miraculously cleared up too  :)
