The year is 1973.

A new  and comprehensive range of WW2 models and figures.
There are 40 vehicles/ gun models and 15 packs of infantry available.
Bellona has come in with a range of vac formed scenery. A Europe  sheet and a Russian sheet.
Humbrol has brought out some enamel camouflage colours.

Charles Grant has written a rule set for it.

130th scale   or 90th scale. There is no 15mm (1/100th).  Which would you go for?

Bigger (18mm)  than 15mm or smaller (13mm)?

Being 1973 the vehicles and figures are metal. Minifigs(Southampton) and Hinchliffe(Huddersfield) are doing the models and casting.

Amy prejudices are fine.

I'd go bigger than smaller. Largely since the detail will hopefully be less bad at 1/90th than at 1/130th.

Yes the larger figures over smaller ones for me. I like to be able to see what's what.

Must be bigger. At a recent game there was a rules query. It was quite a shock when all players (3 a side) simultaneously took out their rulebooks and reading glasses.

Does age tie in to a comfortable size to paint?

Smaller for me. Cheaper so I can buy more.

I agree that age is certainly a major factor.
