Tonights game (2nd April 2024).

Russians attacking. 3 platoons all veteran. 4 tanks all average.
Germans defending. 3 platoons, support platoon, 3 panthers (raw too).

The central road junction objective was really in the open. Thus, both armies waited until  the end game and the Russians jumped on to it.
The Russians attacked on both flanks but they were successful on one only. This was due to the raw rolling lots of 6s in the assaults.

Rule updates. Can you see this Simon.

1.Vehicle can only move through a corner diagonal between two pieces of wood/building/objective if no enemy in either of them.

2. Dug in = 2  squares but not allowed on marsh or gully.

3. Surprise, no CC.

Martin,

I see them, thanks.

By #3 I understand that the CC is not allowed to relocate himself using the Surprise Asset.

But by implication a PC can?

Interesting-sounding game. I'd have fancied the Russians' chances on the face of it.

Who won on points?

Hello Simon.
Correct n the PC yes and CC no.
The Russians could have won on even outcomes. The Russains were blunted by the opposing German raw platoon being dug in. Those saves on 2,3,4,5,6 make them live longer than the attackers on their 3,4,5,6.

Raw platoons  should build two lines of defence with one behind the other. This does rely on  getting the attackers onto a narrow line of attack by placing templates end on so the attacker cannot get supporting fire.If those attackers can be pinned then super.

All good in theory??

The Germans also had 3 panthers. They were raw and only cost 27 points each.
Maybe this is too cheap for such a good tank?

Maybe reduce the maximum gun sum from 33 to 30?
