Raw British attacking Veteran Germans.

Raw British had 4 foot platoons, 1 MMG platoon and 3 Matilda II.
Veteran Germans had 3 foot platoons and 2 PzII

There was a deep band of open scenery between the two opponents.
The British right flank advanced, but got enfiladed by the German line.

Suffering from the -1AP for raw and poor D6 rolls the British came on slowly.
The defending german platoon was saving on 2,3,4,5,6 thus suffered very few casualties.

The Germans did start crumbling and their  flank opposing the British advance was destroyed by game end.

At the game end the Germans held 1 objective and the British none.
A good victory for the defending veteran Germans.

We need to play some more games with raw on one side. The others side can be vet or average.

That sounds like a nice game. And there was me thinking that 3 Matilda IIs in an Early War setting couldn't fail to carry the day  :)

The Matildas only appeared after the half way game point. They killed the German tanks quickly. They also shot off aGerman base that was holding the centre objective. This left 1 German base and thus the objective could not be held by the Germans.

We are going to do 2 games next week with raw v average.
This will tell us how  good raw are, possibly.
