Here is the current state of war.
All at Entoyment

April 13th. PBI beach assault. Stewart will provide details.
May 11th  PBI day with Monte Casino theme. Normal PBI games with one table set up as a Monte Casino table.

April 6th or April 20th. PBI day Early war or desert (or maybe a para day with no vehicles)??  These are previously un announced days. If you are available please say so  and martin will book some tables. needs a minimum of 2 players.

The Monte Cassino day, just to give people ideas for other tables. Americans were fighting it out down in the Liri Valley, French troops are about some near to the Americans, also they fought in the Mountains with their African troops. Canadians, Indian and Polish as well as most of the British types of British troops fought either in the town or in the Mountains. I think even some Italians were fighting on the East coast ? Against their former allies ? You might have to look that up if you wanted to do this action ?
Also along the West coast the Anzio landings were still in progress, very slowly as the American commander was very cautious in his approach so this impacted on how affective the landings should have been.
So there is plenty of options for forces and playing areas. From Beach warfare right up to Mountain warfare? A bit of research on Google will help out if someone wants to host a table, for that day ?
The Gustavia line stretches right across the mainland of Italy, but the main break point was near to the town of Cassino. The rest is history.
There is plenty of options for different armies and different table types.

Must admit I am more than happy to use my Desert forces, as the warfare then does seem a lot more dignified in those times ?
As much as 1944 plus warfare is a big part of our history, it does become very complicated.

Ben is keen to play and is trying to take the day off work. He can field a 1942 army but not a desert one, does this matter?
