Veteran Germans attacking average Russians.

A draw.
The Germans launched their main assault through the buildings.
These assaults got hit by HE and flanking LMG shooting.
The resulting pinned results stopped the German advance.

The Russians held all three objectives until near the end of the game where German reinforcements seized the flank objective.

The two German Panthers killed the two Russian T34s in quick time.
The Russians used smoke to stop the Panthers killing everyone.

A Russian AT rifle did bravely stalk the Panthers but failed to destroy them. Unlucky?

The game ended in an exact 56/56 point draw.

A fine game. 4 players.  3 hours to play.

Nice!

I am a bit concerned by the notion of practising before Saturday. At least it gives me another excuse when I lose dismally :)

It has brought up some new tactics Simon.

1. Hiding men under the hollow buildings.
2.Putting a couple of bases in front of a building whilst hiding more bases behind it.
3.Shooting/grenading from the top window down onto the enemy.
4. Moving buildings about and "accidentally" moving the bases with it.

My first games in the early 70's were on my model railway layout with of course the circular track and track side scenery. My sister used to make such use of a wooded shed.

Glad to hear the new buildings got a run out.

Maybe we need a new asset for 'sneaky moves in a building'!

I will need to make a mobile wood for Longships when fighting the Scots!
