Foot At shooting at foot bases

I can understand the need to keep things simple but why cant a Bazooka man fire at foot bases in a building. From what I have seen and read the bazooka and RPG were wonderful weapons for attacking dug in infantry and bunkers/buildings.

However P 22 shows "Foot AT can shoot at any target except foot bases."

As you have given them an AP factor just give them an HE value and treat the shot as per Gun fire. Rules already exist for that.

I have assumed that the AT teams are being kept ready for enemy armour.

There is an optional rule for AT using HE, but it's prime purpose is to defend against potential or present enemy tanks.  AT used HE in WW2 when no enemy tanks were expected to be on the battlefield.
In PBI tanks might well turn up.

I can't imagine that troops presented with dug in infantry in a building would be that think.

We will probably not agree on this John.
No great problem.
I want to keep things simple.

Don't forget that it is there in the extra rules so you can use it once both players are good at the normal rules.

Most good quality WW2 rules restrict foot AT firing at non-armour targets.

They can only carry so much ammo, and are focused on their anti-tank role.

PBI has the option of using foot AT with an HE effect. I only allow that vs targets in buildings though, not allowed at units in partial or open. The AT grenade needs a big and solid target to explode against.

That makes total sense, Neil. It wouldn't have crossed my mind to try to use foot AT against foot on the open, which as you say is plain wrong.
