As most of us are on the slightly more senior side of life at Square Bashing day.
One or two things came to light to make life slightly easier ?
One if the LMG option is paid for a little marker to remind you that in Assault you get a (+ 2)bonus ? I might put some Lewis gun troops on a coin with plus 2 marked on it.
Maybe a little marker to denote which Square was in the Assault when it comes to the firing phase? So to remind you you can't fire into it ?
Also a little marker to mark which units or Squares can't move (Stand) after "Morale" results for that turn ?
Nothing drastic but little helper/reminders ?
Clarification on wether Roads can go thru terrain features other than buildings ?
As this disappeared from PP rules after the mid noughties ?

I think you are spot on with markers.
Roads never went through scenery but maybe that is not clear?

Miles, I think it's +1 per LMG-equipped unit in an assault, up to a maximum or +2 per assault.

I believe the interpretation is also "all or none" if paying for LMGs in a Late War British force.

What I am saying, is it's ok saying that, but it's making a little reminder to a Square, especially if it's attacker that there is a plus 2, like "fighting bonus", "winning the fight" markers, that you get a plus 2 in assaults ?
So something like a figure on a coin would be good enough to be a reminder ? Without being too much.

Thank you Martin, I thought it was a bit wrong for there to be roads going thru other scenery other than building templates ? Then not being able to use the road to exit the template easier was an even more oddity ? Ray ! The road is either there and then useful or not there at all ?
This is one of the reasons Martin stopped and put in place the ruling that roads didn't go thru other scenery templates, as it leads to odd things and misinterpretation occurring?

Totally agree with the wider principle that a few more markers (e.g. "failed morale") could be helpful.

These would be "Home made" type markers mainly or get them printed as Warbases do seem to be able to prepare them quite quickly for us ?
But these could be put down as suggestions or something in the back of the rule book ?
An Officer or Sergeant type figure as in ACW for the "failed Morale test" or STAND on a marker ? A Lewis gun man for the LMG assault marker or LMG on a marker ?
Not quite sure about an Assaulted Square ?
With the British I was thinking one of the "Trench raiding" figures ? But for the others ?
Someone else might have a better suggestion?
