Here are some photographs.
I could have done better and more but I do get very involved when fighting a  battle :)

Photos look great Martin, some very impressive real estate out on show on the tables.

Very nice. I'm glad the day went well.

Well done all
Any pictures?

Moggy

Sad I missed it but think it was better I wasn't there coughing and spluttering over you all.  Roll on the 24th.

Two good games with my tried and trusty Union Army. CWB is an enduring set of rules and with 10 players in attendance evidence of its popularity. Thanks to Martin for running day 1.
Some pics to show.

A very good day, thanks to all that came and played. A good day of practice for 24th ?
2 small Wins with my Union first as a defender and then an attacker.
Same as Martin I was too involved in the fighting to take pictures.
Makes a difference being 1863, both sides are about "equal" at this point of the war ?  The industrial might of the north hasn't quite made the absolute difference, and Lee still has good Generals and quite a number of men.
Still one of my Favourite games in the RFCM world as well as Wargames Generally.
Just needs those little "modern" touches but not "tweaks" to the rules.
Miles

Colonel Kilgore

Careful, Miles. When one suggests "a few minor tweaks" to Martin, you know he'll set off on a complete re-write  ;D

Simon

Hence why I said "touches" rather than "tweaks".....
Miles

Colonel Kilgore

I'm not sure which are worse - touches or tweaks ;D

The south will rise again on the 24th
