To try and get a bit of flavour and make the pre game phase quick here is an idea I'm thinking about for the W/S rules.  Its a mechanism to draw up the armies, events and attack/defence in one phase. There are a set of army cards. The army is 1 Corps of 3 divisions. You deal 2 cards to each division - these then tell you your army composition , and give you a total score. Each card is +/- 10pts. A game is 60pts. You then draw your event cards from the same deck (orientation them 90) to get events and attack points -

That seems like a very good idea, but would they be available for all the armies in the Army Book.
