Scanning through the army book  number 78.
Do you see any armies that you think are "Oh good grief!"
In terms of potentially very good or very bad?


I am wanting to  see what player perspective is like.

Stewart and Weymouth Mike pulled of a  victory with the not that good Hsuing Nu. Albeit the Chinese are not much better .

Wars of the Roses. Very bad due to almost complete lack of skirmishers. Should be playing Bloody Barons.

Lack of skirmishers is a real problem.

I guess that's the problem of looking for "universal armies".

Against another WOTR army, they should do just fine. Or, as John says, play Bloody Barons instead!

A quick glance shows that the Sumarians still do not have access to shield technology for some reason even though the description line three shows "Big shields for the foot spearmen."

Seems a good list to me.

I did try a solo game with them as written a while ago back at about v30 or so. Masses of shieldless close combat.  Due to the price drop in points could field many more than normal. They did quite well really.
