I think Alan and son will be there. They are wargamers, not a removal company :)
Maybe Shane and Paul too??

3 tables sounds good Stewart. We had better check if there are other events at the shop?

I am not 100% certain at this time.

Just be gentle with me. Only played 2 games so far and those were ages ago.

Top tips Derek

1. Not much point shooting until at short range.(4")
2. Line infantry should always charge militia given the chance. The bayonet beats bravery.
3. Start the game in column. Lets troops be mobile until they know what is going on and where.
4. Militia should shake out into loose order if they might be charged.
5. Make strong flanker force. It might even turn up??
6.Have a cavalry unit to provide rapid "presence".
7. Roll high dice scores.
8. Destroy enemy units as there is a bonus for destruction.

Thanks for those words of "wisdom" Martin.

Too late to change the Army now, Doubt I will get much more chance to paint more stuff - so will go with what I have (pretty much like a general at the time).

Not so sure about number 4 though. Can't see the point in handing a charging unit a +2 in the falter test and give yourself a -2 in the fight rolls just to go into loose order. Care to explain the thinking on that one?

Derek
It's easier to runaway in loose order.

For those wanting some historical background  and feel like you were there

Patriot is on sky channel 302 this afternoon .
