Many thanks Martin. Downloaded.

Martin, some of the examples on page 3 seem off.
Levy -7 Auxiliary +13 # levy should be -6 Auxiliary should be +11
Levy -7 close order # should be -8 for close order levy

Stevewales88

Lydian example list:
Should all 4 cavalry be armoured as per the army list which would indeed give 128 points but only two armoured gives 114 points.
2 Auxiliary infantry spear should be 22 not 26?

Stevewales88

Nubian example list:
Close order infantry bowmen no shield 18+4-8 is 14 points not 15
Auxiliary infantry spear why 13 each and not 11?

Colonel Kilgore

Steve - what we need here is someone with a strong maths background - what do you think, Martin?  ;D

I don't think the sample army lists haven't been updated as the main lists and rules have grown and changed through the play testing.

Remember it is not the final article yet, soon but not yet

I will get my Lego out.
I count the pimples on each brick.
Make the bricks add up to the unit cost.
Put them all together in layers.
Work out how many pimples in a layer then multiply by the number of layers.
Add 10.
Divide by 10, deduct 1.
Then double, multiply by 5 and we should be there.
Now you see why it is so hard to work out an army total (?)

John Watson

Martin, I think that the number you first thought of was 27. Am I right?
John

Oh dear.
I thought it was 4 of clubs John?
I will go back to the drawing board on this.

Some useful free army lists for conversion can be found at
http://www.dadiepiombo.it/pdf/basiclists.pdf
These are the lists for Basic Impetus 1.0. I do not agree with some parts and the abbreviations take a bit of getting used to but they give a quick overlook of a multitude of armies.

The 3 WRG army lists books can be found free on John Curry's History of Wargaming site
http://www.wargaming.co/recreation/details/pb6thedition.htm
Very useful for conversion to C&K!

OK Steve

Now is the time.
Send me a proposed CK army list.
You can see the format in the online CK army book.

e.g. Close order foot.  Trained.  3-5 units. 0-2 veteran. 0-3 shieldless.   etc
As a guide. The compulsory troops should make up about half of the 300 points.

Good luck

Martin, I notice in your army lists some cavalry is listed as having lance and some infantry is listed as having spear. There does not seem to be a points cost but is a significance in the rules?
Asks Steve as I put together an Aztec list and a Conquistador list.

Hello Steve
All armaments are the same, except pike in a fight and bowmen in a fight.
The double handed chopper and uncontrolled fighters are not there.

I will smooth out the army book (sorry Les will smooth out the army book).

Presently I am getting the rules all done first.
