Greeks attacked (Simon and Chris)
Persians defended (martin and Stewart)

Greek hoplite zones pushed forward.
The Persian centre fell back.

A Greek general got killed and the Persians held on because the Greek zone faltered.
The Persians had a  lot more  units and hence took many more flank zones(12 more points).

The Persian left flank made up of levy etc pushed the Greek flank of peltasts back off the table. Marvellous.

A Median(Ho Ho) win.

The packed zones of Persian bow and spear armed close order were achieving 14D6 for shooting.
This gives an average of 5 hits.
This would cause 2.5 deaths and 1.5 casualty markers.
Persians fighting units also do not get the "here they come" shooting.

Looks like you played the Persians just right Martin. Refuse contact in the centre while shooting and take one or both flanks. Shoot, shoot then shoot some more.
