7th March CK game

We had a great game.
Thematic Byzantines attacking Sucessors.

Successors.  Big load of pikes in the centre with elephants and a left flank of armoured cavalry.
Byzantines.  Big right flank of cavalry and a left flank of foot spears.

Byzantine right flank failed horribly ( led by martin)
Byzantine left flank of spears did really well.
Byzantines ran out of time (8 turn game).
Successor pikes did a great job of blocking the Byzantines all along the front.

Biggish win to  Stewart and Dennis with their successors.

Who owns the Byzantines and do you know the manufacturer? I've always  wanted a Byzantine army.

Sadly they were "pretend" Byzantines.

Forged in Battle do a good selection of 15mm Byzantine figures.

I have Nikephorian Byzantines Sean and they are Essex. I think they are quite presentable. I haven't seen the FIB ones but most of their figures are good. My only grouse with FIB is that they don't refresh their moulds frequently enough so you can get extraneous bits on the figures if you are unlucky.
