The running of the RFCM forum is not free. The annual cost is not large, but something that I cannot solely afford to pay. One stream of revenue is the Merchandise here, but that so far has not covered the costs (we only make £2 per sale).

I have therefore added a donate button this child forum , as I don't really what it to be in your face.

This is not a mandatory contribution, but if you feel that this forum is good place to visit please feel free to donate. We don't need large sums, if every member donated £1 we would cover our annual costs. However, realistically that not going to happen - as we most likely have some defunct accounts in there.

If this is successful I will create a perk for those donating patrons, which may be something as simple a new badge (if they so desire)

Here is the direct link to the donate page

Copy boardgame geek.  They have a small supporting member badge next to each persons forum name. 5.00 a year as a suggestion.  A different colour badge for every year.  And the year on the badge.  eg"17" for this year.  I will donate if you give a little nod to supporters like this.

This seems like a very sensible and reasonable way to proceed.

Personally, I have found that I have got far more enjoyment, inspiration and encouragement from this Forum than from the glossy print magazines, each issue of which costs way more than the suggested annual contribution to support this site.

Please note that, in the linked donation page, there is the option of making either one-off or monthly payments. Opting for a small donation each month might be a relatively painless way of contributing to the Forum's upkeep, while avoiding Mr Administrator from having to pass around the begging bowl on a regular basis.

I can look at a 'supporting member badge' type type affair.  I'm a bit reticent just because I like the anonymity. I don't want people  to feel obligated

pbeccas (Paul)

I'm pretty sure no-one will feel obligated.  It's just a nod and thanks for help.

I'm in on pay day, what is the suggested amount? - OR Martin (PP) is our backer just like the Premier League (only joking Martin).

I'm at last signed up for a monthly contribution. Less than the price of a pint a month but I'm sure every bit counts! More importantly can I have a badge please  ;D
