We had a jolly good day at the shop.

Matt, Les, Richard, Miles, Chris, John, martin and Charles III (I think).

4 games were played, with most players doubling up.

Armies present were
Early war Reds
Whites
Red shock army
1915 Austrians
1914 French
1917 british
1918 Germans
RCW British interventionist army.

The games were great. Lots of swings and close run  fights.
Thanks to all who attended.
I took some photos and intend to put them up here.

Had a sausage bap for lunch. Vey tasty.

A very good day, not bad turn out for an impromptu games day. I was even on the winning side of both the games we played. Defender first game with the British Intervention army and Attacker in the second game with the Austrians. Well done Mat and well done John.
Many thanks to those that came and Entoyment for looking after Us too.

That's another set of rules I'm plugged into now!  More armies to collect and paint!

Good day out with good chums old and new,

Richard

You can do it Richard.
A great day 1918 British (me) v 1918 Germans (Les). We attacked and attacked. Assault after assault. All but one failed and the Germans won a big victory.
2nd game was Austrians 1915 (Miles and me) v Martin and Richard using Russians of some sort, I think. The Austrians piled in and took, lost and retook objectives for a moderate win in the end.

Yes another enjoyable day at Entoyment. I was able to use my RCW Red army, I have enough figures to use as either the figure heavy Red Army early RCW or the more standard Red Shock Army so given it was two games I gave each a run out.

In the morning Richard and I used the early incarnation of the army taking on Miles and Mat with their interventionist army.  The pre game resulted in a Big Push by the vast Russian horde (so many units they could not all fit on the table) against a somewhat depleted intervention force. So as the game started Richard and I looked rather smug whilst Miles and Mat looked ominously on. From then on it was downhill for the Russians as barrage after barrage hit the poor Russian conscripts as they attempted to advance on the objectives - result was a annihilation for the Russians with Richard  and I looking glum and Miles and Mat looking rather smug.

In game two Mat and I use the second incarnation of my Reds, the Shock Army, taking on Less's rather glamorous looking Early War French.  This time the Bolsheviks had to defend against a French Reconnaissance in Force. Despite the Russians best efforts to blow their own troops up they just about manage to hold onto two of the four objectives to bring home a narrow victory, the Russian barrages just about managing to slow down the French advance.

So a good day made more enjoyable by the good company.

Sorry wasn't meant to look to "Smug" Chris !
But it was a good battle all the same.
