Hello chaps

Well here it is
Sorry for any confusions.
Any comments?

13th August  ECW. There are plenty of armies available. I have 2 for starters.
A smaller cloth sized at 3 x 4 feet with a grid.

17th September  VIETNAM .Will need VC and white star for each game. We cannot have VC v VC. I think there are enough VC and whites star forces available.
A  5x3 cloth with a  grid.

John Watson

I think I am available for ECW, but hoping to be at Tiger Day for 17th September.

Please drive it carefully John.  It is delicate.

Big Mike

These days are booked in my diary.
I can field either a Royalist or Parliament army.
My Vietnam forces include VC, NVA and White Star Aussies.

Battledays.
I think after this months day a few lessons could be learned and a slight formula followed ?
These are great ways of digging out games at the bottom of the cupboard and re played.
Hopefully even helping some of our newer players play the game as well ?
Not all people that turn up are players/people that have necessarily played before or loads ?
So we could even encourage Army lists coming up on here before hand so any miscalculations can be spotted and corrected etc.
A small amount of time about the rules and tables etc before we start then we all know what rules we are using ? Not what we have been playing of late ? Lol
At the end of the day we are there to have fun, dig out games and promote the hobby and RFCM systems.

I have now managed to fanangle time to come to one if not both of these.

Can bring toys. Vietnam doesn't need lists creating. Shall we play one NVA game for curiosity?

ECW I always tend to go early war and rarely with Scottish or NMA armies.

Richardwills

Put me down for both please.

I can do any ECW armies that are required.  I may have to borrow army for Vietnam though pretty please!

Actually Sean the MOCB lists as in White Star forces, I would be happy for someone to overlook a list I made, because I haven't played this enough to fully know wether I ve got the best "All Round" force up for the job ?
If Mikes list had been up on Friday the fact that there's 30 points short, another smoothbore instead of the light gun, probably another infantry brigade would be better, raw, rifle say ?
That's why I say those that don't know because of lack of play, enough people on here would give good advice, to make the lists slightly better.

I think the problem is, none of us really know what a good list looks like!  ;D (except maybe Stewart!)

I say problem. I dont see it as a problem...more as a list of what I like and actually can provide figure wise. In MOCB, I dont think there is 'a good list'. All options have their place and it's more a case of making sure you use them. Additions like the dog team mean thast you need to get that team in the appropriate place to help searching, rather than being involved in a firefgiht in a paddy field.

If you want to post up your 'list'. let's have a look at it and see what you've got.

But this is why I said Sean this is a good idea to talk about lists on up and coming event  like Julian did before AK47, maybe not so great detail. I ve got ANZACs to paint but not got a clue what I really need to paint up ? My knowledge of the game is very much still learning.
But that's the value and reason for doing these Battledays.
To give these games a bit of limelight and airing also to get people interested and involved. Old and new alike.
Even Westerns game I ve still got a lot of learning, same with Square Bashing. Also PITS this game I will be get some troops for soon.

Have fun though.
