I have slowly been progressing on this project. I now have 14 'hand gun' bases for Bloody Barrons.

That's a most attractive mix of colours on the bases, mellie1644 - very "heath-like".

I try with historical models to make them somewhat 'realistic'. The really bright colours some do just don't feel right to me, even though they look great when on the table/photographed. So a varied but not too bright set of colours was the theme for these.

The same is true for the lots of dirt and a few tufts of grass showing basing. That works for the middle east/southern europe as you see that today in fields. But I just don't see that for the UK/Northern Europe much. There is always loads of vegetation etc. So I decided on a more heath/varied grass land theme for the armies bases- as after all these are more the a spots where armies fought quite often.
