Ancients battle day 18th June 2022

I am repeating the link here so that we can find it easily  (well done martin :).
This is the one day event at Entoyment on 18th June.
It is a Saturday.
It is Stewart's baby so  he will say  more about it here. Money, mugs and management.


I shall be there.
I may have a  Burmese or Khmer army ready by then.
This would add colour to the day by having a lot of elephants on display.

Are there any armies  folk would like adding to the army list?

It would be nice to see a pike army there too. They always look nice.

If anyone really wants to try an army out from the CK book I am sure we can together make it happen.

On the 18th there is the CK battle day, but also by coincidence there is another ancients competition on  too  (FOG).
Should be ancients all the way on that day.

So if I like the game next week ?
What force would everyone suggest in buying and painting?
I either fancy Vikings, Anglo Saxons, Normans or Romans ?

Miles, if you go for Vikings or Saxons, you could also use them in Longships, with a little careful planning.

Also, Martin doesn't yet make Normans, so you'd have to go for an inferior brand  :D

Simon That's what I was thinking you see ? Then I can cover 2 games at once ?
I do actually have a resin fort that I do believe is an Anglo Saxon origin ?
