Bamboo is the generic name given to cover in MOCB that is very difficult to move and fight through. Simon suggested some Chinese sourced model stuff. i am still waiting for it but Stewart has made a good bamboo stand.  Has anyone else made a bamboo scenic piece yet?

Leman (Andy)

No, but my Belgians' lances are bamboo.

Martin, my 2nd bag arrived yesterday, your 1st not arrived yet?

Sean Clark

Any chance of a link to what you have bought? I was thinking of doing long grass on individual coins so they can be moved around as troops enter the scenery template.

Morning Chaps
Picked up a bag of Bamboo (plastic) from China via E Bay. Turned up in about 10 days, good product 100 + pieces in the bag but for 15mm you can easily cut them in half and double your quantity. If you want to make them more realistic you can add a bit if paint, if not use them as they are will not look bad.

Mine are still yet to arrive. Only been a month so far! At my age I might forget what they are for when they arrive.
I bought aMIG at the weekend as a scenery piece.

Order placed. Lets see how long the slow boat takes to get to Shropshire!

Sean Clark

Apparently my order has already been dispatched!

My latest batch of bamboo has now arrived, from an Amazon seller based in China, bought at:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IR38ZIG/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2LIPW1BDFK3FH&coliid=I2IN6AXOSDQOF1

These are the nominal 1:75 scale ones, and do fit the online description (unlike the previous ones I'd bought, which did not have a wire trunk, and many of which had got rather bent in transit...).

I got (exactly) 100 pieces for £7.99 post-free and am very happy with them. I will drill holes for the wires into an MDF base, and probably use a hot glue gun for good measure.

Photo below for size comparison with a couple of Piggy VCs:

I will really order some of those...really...........really
You wait till you see my "brilliant" crashed MIG 17!!

Sean Clark

Your Mig is a sight to behold. I think you should write something into the rules that makes everybody need one  ;D

Here is a pic of my bamboo, again from China, through Amazon, 100 bits for £6.99, 1 pack enough for 6 bases like this

Colonel Kilgore

Stewart,

Very nice: we've been talking about it, but you've done it!

I found 2 packs makes enough for 12 bases ( CD size)
