For many years I have been a great fan of the 15mm "Heads" range from Peter Pig. Here are just a few examples of the way I have used them. They work well with many of the figures in my lead-pile which are of the smaller 15mm variety; not only Piggy but also Essex and Miniature Figurines in particular.

These generals are Essex 15mm from my C17th Renaissance Russian army. When I prepared them for painting I realised that one of the groups contained two of the same figure. So I did a head-swop with one from 6/15. Russian Furry Hat to give some variety to the command stand.

The Covenanter frame gunners (LH) are from ECW strip-Minifigs. Very much "old skool" and a little basic compared to modern sculpts such the Peter Pig Covenanter minis used for the main artillery (RH).

However, I still had a lot a strips left from the 1980's so swopped any heads with brimmed hats for 6/56. ECW Scottish bonnets.

Finally here are some 1st Royal Scots Fusiliers, 1914. Apart from the Glengarry they were uniformed as other BEF infantry. The M/G and rear rank are from the first range of Peter Pig EW British with head-swops from the EW kilted Scottish infantry caps.  These were done some years ago by my friend Bob Lorton.

The front rank are more recent additions which I did to match. The officer and NCO are Minifigs. The charging infantry are the newer (slightly larger) version Peter Pig EW infantry with 6/80.WW1/2 Glengarry heads;  I think that they just about work.

A selection of some very nice figures there!

Yes indeed. I am a great fan of the head swap. Currently I have a large number of packs for early WWI, ACW and ECW. Looking forward to the WOR heads.
