When I found out that I was Positive, and then have to have at least 10 days at home. I was feeling "oh dear, what shall I do ???"
After Track n Trace phoned me up to tell me also to stay at home ? The other person on the end of the phone was quite surprised how easy I was to comply. 10 days at home and getting paid for it....
So I thought I had better do some HI modelling.
So here are some of my pictures showing off my work so far...

Nice work, Miles, but what do you plan to do for your remaining 9 days' isolation?  ;D

I guess it is far easier for guys like us with a very absorbing hobby to while away the extra hours, health allowing. Some people go stir crazy but I find there is always something we can be doing that takes our fancy be it research, scenery projects, basing, varnishing, prepping figures, undercoating or painting. I recall after the statutory period tidying up the garden that I really boosted my 25mm Games of Thrones forces over lockdown. At times it felt like I saw more of the family when I was working than during lockdown!

Started painting some of my projects, over the isolation.

They look great!!! And I don't even wargame/model that period... I still think the best depiction of that period is in the opening sequence from 'Sahara'. It is almost enough to get me into that period- though I confess I am more of a 'Sand Pebbles' gunboat kind of fan...

I can highly recommend a tour around the slightly later high-Victorian period RN sloop HMS Gannet...

Typical example of Royal Navy schizophrenia - not convinced enough in the newish steam tech so having back-up sailing gear and collapsible funnel etc. etc. - still it gives the hands something extra to do...

Great use of your time Miles.

You so really get much time off, for what ever reason.  Make the best of it!!
