These look interesting.
I wanted some elephants for play testing CK.
I looked at various makers.

In the end I chose mini figs because I used to buy Minifigs in the 1970's.
£7.50 per model.
Maybe PP should make a range of elephants?
Stewart has some by Irregular. Stewart your review??

I will report back when they arrive.
If anyone has some they do not want then I am interested.

I cannot add an ancient army to the job list because there are more pressing  tasks at hand.
If I did have a choice it would be ?   Goths or...

Colonel Kilgore

.... or Carolingians, I think?  ;)

Tabletop did a nice oliphaunt with a battlemented tower and trappings as part of their Sassanid Persian range if I recall... I have fond memories of mine back in the early 80s. seconded to my Haradrim 15mm army. Minifigs are nice clean castings and should serve well for the Classical period. The Freikorps Indian armoured/barded nellies come up quite nicely if you want a later equivalent - say for something more exotic like the Delhi Sultanate...
This all reminds me I have a semi-historical Mughal HoTT army lurking half-finished in the attic somewhere...
I would have thought a generic resin nellie with a variety of cast 'loads & crews' to recreate those used by different armies might be a useful addition to the roster...

I have two Elephants from Irregular miniatures from their Carthaginian range.
Nice model with two/three men on top.
About £7 per model
