Stopped for lunch. Worked from 9am to 12.15pm. Back at it at 1pm until around 4pm.

Impressive stuff, Sean. The time stamps on the photos tell the story!

sean,
Going for it.impressive.

i see you are persisting with your illegal half base dead markers :)

julian

I spotted that too, Julian. Most disappointing to see that even the best dictators can't follow the rules.

He'll probably try to get double victory points for having two flags, too...

This Civil War is descending into anarchy.

It's not cricket.

There is a dynamic of the game with the shape and coverage of a group of bases. The Dead marker remains part of the group until it is removed from the table. Although dead, it still carries out a game dynamic whilst on the table. The rules state a 30x30 base.
:)
Julian

The rules as laid down by the legislature indeed say 3x3 to maintain the unit footprint.

However, under a new found spirit of optimism, good will and liassez faire friendship and unity, the standing government of uMbongo are happy to let 2ps and half bases pass as being a representation and will sit quite happily within the footprint of a unit.

To be fair, my men are drinking Juju juice which has bullet deflecting properties, so I feel it will be a moot point.

lovely work sean, nice technicals.
i can never get the front guard onto the Panhards. im jealous.
what army is it ?
Julian

It is a Popular Front army and was bought as a boxed army years ago when Reloaded was released. Not sure if it's points value... the included army list says 500 but I'm aware these things can sometimes be off by a point or two.

Steve E

The forces of Nootu look forward to crushing this lovely looking army in the not to distant future 😉🙂.
Well done mate 👏👏👍

Very nice Sean. Hoping I am not encroaching on your glory, but as the subject is painting for AK47 day.
My new vehicles for October are certainly not being speed built/painted
Hopefully they will be ready and in Aden Emergency colours too ?
The Centurion is an upgraded and modified PP mk3.
Can anyone help where the Saladins came from Please ? I bought them in a box of "modern vehicles" at a show a few years ago and just got round to doing something with them. Hopefully I am doing them justice ?

Basing finished late last night and now ready for their trip south this morning.

Painting am army in a day is possible, with some tricks and techiques that help speed things along. Probably 8 hours work in all. Break that down into hour long slots and it's an army in a 8 days painting an hour a day.

Colonel Kilgore

Very impressive, Sean.

And best of luck with your manoeuvres down South.
