Spare armies for AK47 day

If they were needed.

Thee is a wonderful scene in Dr Zhivago.
The doctor's wealthy parents have had their massive house confiscated and themselves put into just two rooms.
Zhivago says "well there is room enough for us in here, we can manage"
Then the door opens and five more families pile in.

Good question on fuel, Miles.

I have 100 miles' worth in the tank, and all our local forecourts were empty yesterday. If I don't drive until then, it's enough to get me to Daventry, which is the main thing (even if I'd then be stuck there  )

Of course, it's possible that the situation will improve between now and then

Now that everyone has filled up their fuel tanks the garages can rebuild their stocks.....
It's OK for retired old codgers like me to be blasé about it. Not good if you travel around for work as I used to do.

We could have a bring-and-buy of full jerrycans, supplied by those living in fuel-rich areas. There may be a touch of Mad Max to all this, not entirely out of keeping for AK47?
