Hello,
I have started my project by sawing some 12 x 9" place mats in half and trimming them down to make 8 x 6" templates for AK47 Republic.

Here's one after the first cut (9 x 6").





And here with the HO Mine Buildings I mentioned earlier, I think they're too big for AK47 Republic but would work with larger templates.

No they look impressive, they would be ok when put "together" in a mining facility. A piece on its own would look odd, but together fine. Especially with some walk ways and conveyer belts or something similar that a mine would have ? A warehouse or two ( big, small or both ) and some site huts, loading bay and head office. Where did you get them from ?
Make it a feature.
Then put Vegan Enterprise logo on the side, as it's probably situated on the companies land ? Lol
Or one of the subsidiaries companies ! As they fund a lot of Projects to "aid" the countries growth and prosperity !

Hello Miles,

It's a Knightwing Mine-top buildings kit as here: https://www.modelscenerysupplies.co.uk/brands/knightwing-model-kits/mine-top-buildings-oo-ho It's an old Heljan kit and, possibly, a IHC kit in the US. The Knightwing website is down at the moment. The instructions with mine were very poorly printed and I had to find a set on line which led me to the second site linked below.

It does come with some stairs and a conveyor to connect the two buildings, there are some better pictures here: http://ollyg16.weebly.com/knightwing-mine-kit.html

I'll base the two buildings together on a larger base for games like PBI.
