You will always get a warm response.

What makes this forum unique is that we ask members to use a first/given name when posting.
If you are part of some government secret department and fear it might identify you, fear not.

You can use any first name that others can address you by.
For example if your real name is  "Veronica" you could use "Trevor" instead.
If you think the use of a name makes you too identifiable then call yourself Simon, there are lots on this forum (about 20). 
It should give you enough cover from Secret service search teams .

When talking with other gamers at games and shows I use their names rather than  "oi", "big nose" or "secret man".

The use of a name also helps impose manners that might otherwise "drift".

This makes the forum more conversational.

Of course this all my personal thinking. If you feel strongly that you do not want to be social, then it is best you join another forum  and use a strange but highly amusing nom de plume.
