We had two games of BB today.
First one was a bit slower as we  re-learned the rules.

Game 1.  Won in a big way by John. martin's reserves were very tardy. Then John punched through all the way along the line. John got to the base edge. John's cavalry turned up twice. On both occasions the cavalry beat martin's infantry to death. One of martin's generals got killed ( careless).  martin had very little scenery to defend from. John's centre got a bit stuck in some buildings.

Game 2. martin lost no units to reserves and only 4 bases to losses. That is amazing. martins 2 heavy guns re-loaded and shot at great speed. 2 shots in the game (that is good).  Combined with bow shooting, one of John's zones was shot to bits and retired hurt. John's centre got stuck in some boggy ground.
This same centre force was then hit in the flank and routed. John's cavalry would not arrive at all. John killed two generals and had one of his killed too. Neither were C n Cs.

A good day of gaming at PPHQ.

Good to hear some gaming going ahead and it sounds like honours were even which is nice.

Thanks Martin. It was avery good day and you got well deserved revenge in the afternoon for the mornings debacle. Looking forward to next time.

Leman (Andy)

Need to get my lads out again before I also forget how to play.

Sean Clark

Andy,

I have this problem. Either I forget something entirely or else I transpose a rule from one period into another. Like using the activation sequence in Bloody Barons for Civil War Battles. Happens all the time!

Leman (Andy)

Every sympathy there Sean. I used to drive my friends crazy transposing elements of one set of rules into another.

Stewart 46A

it can be funny, we had a CWB day at Entoyment with 4 or 5 tables and each table was using  slightly different variation of the rules.
No HE though.

Still good fun though, Stewart! Really enjoyed both of my games, though rules wise each one was slightly different  ;D

Leman (Andy)

Are we now going to circle back to misinterpretation?
