Apologies for the poor lighting but I was on an undercover operation with AC-12.

This is the WotR collection I have amassed over the last 18 months or so. I have way too many archers for some reason 😂 I think I'm going to mix fighting men and archers on bases as you don't need to designate any difference in base types. Maybe more figures for levy, similar to Lomgships.

Good collection Sean, all i see is casualties!

That is a mighty fine force, Sean. How many BB armies could you make out of that little lot?

Great stuff. We'll get you to join the Lance and Longbow Society next. Hope you've got some good flags/banners for them.
John

Colonel Kilgore

Good point, John. Can you make any good recommendations for an extensive range of well-researched flags, perhaps organised by the battles in which they were used?  ;)

The poor lighting is upsetting me Sean.
I may have to move to California and broadcast my suffering.
The horror!

Now you mention it Simon, I can. Look on the Lance and Longbow Society website click on "Flags" under "Shop" and then on the "List of flags for the Wars of the Roses". There are over 400 standards and banners listed there, some by faction, others by battles or campaigns. All are hand drawn, no nasty computerised ones.

Thanks, John - I felt sure with your connections you would know the right place to look :)

To the Lance and Longbow page I must go!

There is enough for 25 units of foot so enough for most of the historical battles in the book other than Towton. I have submitted an article for the Mil with details of all the requirements for the historical battles.

I need some guns and more cavalry, plus all of the historical characters. I cant be using Edward IV at Bosworth now can I?

Just need to paint them!

Leslie BT

So many figures in 'The One True Scale' Sean, forget those 6mm that you cannot tell the foot from the horse and they all seem to be lost in flock that would put many tropical crops to shame.
So well done for coming back to promote 15mm figures ad gaming!!

Sean Clark

Les, it was a hiatus for a while. There's room for many periods and scales within my church.

I've solved the issue of having too many archers. I'm rebasing so as to have 2 archers and 2 fighting men per base. First experiment on my first unit, painted before bedtime

Leman (Andy)

You could also use the too many archers as your half bases.

martin goddard

Probably best to buy all new figures Sean?

martin :)

Leman (Andy)

 ;D ;D ;D ;D A shrewd businessman indeed. I did, but I certainly don't regret it.

Colonel Kilgore

You're right, Martin. The problem is clearly not that Sean has too many archers, but that he has too few men at arms.
