Now it looks like we are going to survive the pandemic, what games days can we look forward to?

If there is one thing this pandemic has taught me is to take every opportunity you can to do what you enjoy. I've missed gaming terribly as have most of us, but I've also missed the social aspect just as much. The regular round of RFCM gaming days are a great tonic for the modern way of life.

So hopefully we will see the return of:

1. Squarebashing days in Daventry
2. The Weymouth Weekender
3. Monthly (?) games days at Entoyment
4. CWB day from Miles
5. 15th August is hopefully Bosworth day.
6. Possibly another event at Daventry...Vietnam? ECW?

We have Crete coming up. I've heard whispers of Kursk. SCW would be nice. How about a gaming day where we turn up with a game for up to 4 players, having booked 3 or 4 tables at Entoyment? We could have AWI, BAW and PITS running over the course of the day?

And lets not forget Mexico is on the horizon.

Whatever we do, I'm sure there are some great days ahead of us!

I expect to visit Entoyment in July once they have established rules and how they are gaming safely

It sounds like things are moving along positively for Entoyment. They deserve support from the gaming community. They have a fantastic facility.

With you there Sean
Let's do all of them whilst we can (in case there is another plague).

Hi,
I'm looking forward to gaming again, hopefully next week.

Thinking about RFCM games there are some AK47 & HI players locally but anything else I'd have to travel. With my back pain the journey to Weymouth is a bit too far for a single days drive and standing at a wargames table for more than 3 or 4 hours is also a problem. Daventry is possible from Grimsby so I'll see what's on offer later in the year.

Beat wishes,
Martin Buck

Entoyment deserve our support. They have a fantastic facility for us gamers. I'm looking forward to returning and spending some money.

Totally agree Sean. Also to your point about events we should be planning as things unlock.

Agreed. Faili to plan is to plan to fail. Ted Hastings said that once.

Joking aside, some planning ahead with caution would be useful for those of us that need to book time off work.

Martin Buck, As mentioned if you wanted to attend the Weymouth games weekend we can pick up up from the train station and we have seats around the tables so no standing.

Also Entoyment do have seats around there gaming tables, Daventry does as well. So no Standing unless you want to ?
I am looking forward to Tomorrow (Friday) Big Mike is coming over for a game of PBI, hopefully the first of many. Both using forces similar to the up and coming Crete game with a few extras just to get use to playing PBI and Wargaming in General.
Once we are up and running again at Entoyment later in the year, I do plan to host a PBI day (1941) 80th Anniversary year, and of course CWB (any suggestions on theme or year ?) day.
Also anyone is welcomed to come to my gaming den, before and after we start going back to Entoyment and alike on a regular bases ? As Stewart says June into July let the dust settle and see where this Indian variant takes us ?

Thinking about it I ve actually answered my own question?
CWB (1861) 160th Anniversary, as it's a short year this year as was that year ?
So all we need to do is get back into it, settle down etc.
So PBI day (1941)
CWB day (1861)
I think people are going to see what future years are coming up over the next 3-4 years ? 1941-1945 and 1861-1865.
Dates to be established and confirmed depending on what happens the rest of this year ?

Excellent plans Miles. I have been trying to call you to arrange a game at the Man Cave but the line has been engaged. I will try this afternoon.
Put me down for both Entoyment days, dates permitting. 1941 I can use my Greeks.

All good. I shall ready my boys for seeing the elephant and its payday in a couple of days so I can feel an order coming on for some more troops.
